I read Don Quixote many years ago when I was a child and never finished it because we borrow it and I was the last one in the family who can read it.
It had a lots of footnotes that explains the idioms, symbolism, imagery and figurative languages. That was interesting and because of that I couldn't finish the book!
two days ago I talked to my friend Sam about translated novel books. we, both, agree that you must read a novel in a original language or translated directly to your language.
The worst thing is you read a book that translated from another language that is not the original one.
for example a book that wrote in Spanish translated to German then some one translate it to English.
Don Quixote is an exception.
